Anji is leading a movement of pioneer ministry within the West Midlands URC. Her role is to help local churches who want to engage their neighbourhoods in innovative and collaborative ways. The Seedbeds Pioneer Hub https://seedbeds.org/newbigin-pioneering-hub-2/ has trained a number of local pioneers who are now spread across four communities in the West Midlands. Anji’s role is to help support and resource their work. She is also available to meet with churches looking to explore pioneering, and new and potential pioneers for the West Midlands URC.

Weoly Castle
Sam Poursain – Sam and Katie and their 3 boys live and work in Weoly castle alongside the Weoly Castle Community Church. Jonah and Susie Bateson have moved into Weoly Castle to join the team as volunteer partners.
Winson Green
Ash and Anji Barker lead a team of local Pioneers: Dom Mould, Sarah Bruce and Sue Priest working in the Winson Green neighbourhood and across two congregations.
